WHERE IT STARTED
Luca Narraway first sat in a kart at the age of five. Most kids that age are still figuring out how to ride a bike. Luca was already learning how to carry speed through a corner.
What followed wasn't luck. It was years of early mornings, long drives to circuits, and the kind of quiet obsession that separates the drivers who are just having fun from the ones who are genuinely going somewhere. Wins, poles, and fastest laps started stacking up. The talent was obvious. The commitment was even more so.
Now competing at national level in the IAME British Championship, Luca is one of the most promising young drivers in the country, and he has the results to back it up.
Luca has been identified by Motorpsort UK as “one to watch” and his performances are monitored by Motorpsort UK each month.
He has competed at World Championship level finishing 14th in IWF 24 (Zaragoza) and his first Junior X30 race was in the IWF25 World Championships (Valencia)
Luca will be competing in this years IWF 26 Championship in Italy

In 2023, six young drivers were selected by Motorsport UK to represent British karting at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Luca was one of them.
What they didn't fully know until they got there was what they were walking into. The 2023 British GP was the filming location for F1, the Brad Pitt feature film that would go on to become one of the biggest motorsport films ever made. The grid that afternoon wasn't just a Formula 1 grid, it was a film set, with 150,000 people in the grandstands and cameras rolling on one of cinema's most anticipated productions.
Luca stood on that grid in his F1 t-shirt, surrounded by the drivers, the cars, and the spectacle of it all. And then Lewis Hamilton walked past, stopped, and fist-bumped every one of them.
It is the kind of moment that doesn't need embellishing. A ten-year-old karting driver, hand-picked from across the country, standing on the Silverstone pit straight next to the greatest Formula 1 driver of all time, captured on film for posterity. A piece of cinema history, and Luca was in it.
BLUEBIRD AND THE RUSKIN MUSEUM
In 2025, Luca was involved in something that had nothing to do with lap times — and everything to do with what motorsport means beyond the circuit.
Ahead of Kart Masters 2025, Luca became part of the effort to raise awareness for the return of Bluebird — Donald Campbell's legendary land and water speed record car — to Coniston Water. The Campbell family were present, and in a gesture that recognised Luca's involvement in the campaign, a part of his kart was placed into the Ruskin Museum in Coniston alongside a photograph, where it remains on display.
It is a small detail that says something larger: that even at this stage of his career, Luca is being associated with the kind of stories that matter to people. History, heritage, and the enduring romance of pushing the limits of what is possible. That is not a bad company to be in.
